David Wang | ITE | Standard Operation | TM4 | | helium pressure test on TM4 internal cooloing lsine at ITE. |
Helium pressure 70 psi. 3 minutes on each circle untill LR on LD is balanced. Base leak rate on LD:0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec. The result:
A: slowly to1.8Xe-8atm.cc/sec after 2 minutes and balanced there.
B: slowly to 2.0XE-8 atm.cc/sec after 2 minutes and balanced there.
C: quickly response to 3.1XE-8 atm.cc/sec and balance there.
D : slowly to 3.0X E-9 atm.cc/sec and balanced there.
All others including coil1, coil 2 ,MSP, EE, HS, window are perfectly leak tight. No response on LD.
The leak rate on A,B,C,D are in low E-8 or E-9 atm.cc/sec range. They should seal cooling water without leak. No concern.

David Wang | ITE | Standard Operation | TM4 | | ITE primary and secondary vacuum vessel leak check. |
ITE primary and secondary vacuum vessel leak check has been down. Base leak rate 0.0x E-9 atm.cc/sec on LD. Only 2.8 XE-9 atm.cc/sec leak has been found on big T tank seal which is very tiny. all other seals are perfect leak free. No concern |

David Wang | ITE | Standard Operation | | | ITE HV test woithout mdoule was done. |
Carla did the test. That is what she wrote in Feb 04th: "I am done with the HV testing at ITE - the results were the same as at ITW. It stayed at 59kV for 30 mins with no issues. Trying to go above 59.5kV is probably possible but a bit more risky. ITE also has a band, from 54-56kV, where the current jumps around like crazy". |

Carla Babcock | ITE | Repair | TM4 | SiC#44 | TBHT to HV common short on SiC#44-TM4 |
TM4 with SiC#44 installed developed a short TBHT to HV common during its first heating in ITE. Was fine before installation. Now with everything cold TBHT to HVC is 25kOhms. Removed short in electrical room, will rely on short in the module. |

Carla Babcock | ITE | Repair | | | ITE:ANODE swapped with TCS:ANODE |
ITE:ANODE supply reading strange currents - 17mA with the power supply on and no voltage. Checked anode circuit from electrical room:
Anode wire in electrical room shows 0L at 250V
Circuit with 50kOhm resistor mostly looks good (49-52kOhms) but a couple times read 28kOhms, no idea why. Tried jiggling all cables, unplugging and replugging and everything looks fine.
But power supply still seems to be giving out signal for 17mA readback. Decided fastest to swap with TCS power supply and troubleshoot this one on the bench. |

David Wang | ITE | Standard Operation | TM4 | UCx#41 | ITE primary and secondary vacuum vessel air to vacuum seals leak check. |
ITE primary and secondary vacuum vessel air to vacuum seals leak check was done this week. One leak has been found on IG1S feed through to entrance module surface seal. It explains what we saw on ITE IG1S readings change(from low E-7 torr to 1Xe-6 torr) on December 22, 2022. This leak seal will be replaced soon.
2023-Jan -27. O-ring seal 229# was replaced on ITEIG1S feedthrough to entrance module surface sealing. Also o-ring seal 034# was replaced on the blank off cover beside the feed through to entrance module surface sealing. Since these o-rings are too close to each other. It is better to replace both of them to avoid misreading in leak check. |

David Wang | ITE | Standard Operation | | | ITE 4 turbopumps are started for preoperation check. |
ITE TP3,4, 1S,and 4S were started successfully this afternoon. All pump current draws were below 1.5A . IG1S was switched on. I have no local controller so TP1 and TP2 on TM4 at MSP can not be checked. IG1S was hard to switch on at first. It timed out and showed error 09 code. I removed the connector back cap, and it could be switched on after. I will look on this issue.
Turbo -pumps were stopped last night at 6 pm. All four pumps worked good during check. For IG1S switching on issue, the problem either caused by over pressure(No TP1, 2 in ITE) or because coaxial cable was pinched by connector cap and caused bad contact on pin to cable. I modified the connector cap inside by opening more space for cable passing through the cap. The cap is installed back. The gauge will be switched on next week again. We keep watch on it |
