Electrical check done on TM#2 with Ta#48, no target and SiC#33 the short on the coils to 60kV is still present it is on the R-U coil line. See attached PDFs for details.

I switched off the vacuum pumps and vented TCS with argon. The TCS will be ready to accept TM2 this afternoon.

The five spent target F308  flasks where gone through in accordance with Nordion guidelines, the sixth spare is remains in the Hot Cell area. All flasks where in reasonable shape with two needing weld repairs on the pallets. I replaced all the 3/4" pallet to flask fasteners with new Grade 8 bolts nut and washer combo. Flasks have been moved into the Hot Cell area awaiting movement into the Target Hall.

The spent target assay were finally started or re-started today. Four targets were done today.

June 29 2016 another four targets were done today.

June 30 2016 all targets have assayed and measured. see the attached PDFs for the results.

The spent target vault door does not open or close. The emergency door closing did have to be used to close the door as it was locked in an open position, the door stopped just off the open override limit. The door was closed and the spent target that was being assayed was placed into the mini storage. The problem with the door appears to be related to the motor itself, as all the controls to the motor appear to be in working order. Also it was noticed on the emergency door closing winch the wire rope has a kink in it from sitting in open position for so long this can cause the wire rope to jump from the pulleys.

 

6/27/2016  Dan McDonald. Replacement motor was ordered from Beaver Industries Friday the 24th received this morning the 27th. Once received Travis wired the motor to its proper operating orientation. Once the motor was wired  it was  set it up and plugged it in to test rotation and control function, at this point we disconnected the motor and re installed it to the gear box. Ran three open close sequences to ensure all was well. In the case of the emergency cable system a plan is being developed to correct the cable slack and kinking problem. We went ahead and ordered a spare  vault motor which is located in the RH Machine Shop

The spent Ta#47 target has been moved from the south hot cell to the spent target vault. It was placed in pail #137 in spot 4C of the vault. It was 114mSv/hr upon removal from the vault.

I did a helium pressure test on TM4 at TCS with UCX16 target installed on the module. No leak has been found on all using water lines in TM4. See attachment for detail.

Chad and I finished the TM4 UCx6 electrical check and leak check at SHC. Leak check result on HS line is good. There is a dead short between "Z" repellor and HS during the first time electrical check. The dead short disappeared after re- installation of UCx 14 target onto TM4. See attachment

 Anders and I did another electrical check on TM4 at TCS under vacuum. See attachment 2

I did an electrical check on TM4 with the old target still installed. The number is a little bit low on 500V mega check between chassis and 60KVbias which is 146Mohm. Others are good.    See attachment

I wrote all OL to 0  in attachment 1 ohmmeter check. Please See attachment 2 for correction.
