 start of TCS and TM3 turbo-pumps. Everything is good so far.

All TM3 blue insulators except Gas,EL, and 60 KV common  on top of the module have been replaced with new designed insulators. The new blue insulator for gas line need to be modified to fit for the bent on the gas  line.   EL, and 60KV common blue insulators were replaced during last time TM3 refurbishment so they are relative new, and  not replaced this time. All seals related to the blue insulators are changed to new seals. The o- r-ing surfaces  for o-ring 221 inside the  new insulators  are rougher than old parts. The module top need to be leak checked.

TM#3 has been moved from the NE Silo to the conditioning station.

 Measurements were taken today of the NHC north/south wall gap at the location where the NHC/TCS partition wall will be installed (43.375" from the NHC west wall).  A HILTI PD40 laser range meter was used for the measurements.  They were taken at 10", 34", 62", 90", 118", and 142" from the floor which matches the top of each cross-beam.  The results are below:

10" from floor:  102.44"
34" from floor:  102.40"
62" from floor:  102.48"
90"  from floor:  102.63"
118" from floor:  102.28"
142" from floor:  102.24"

Based on these results a partition wall plate width of 102.00" will be used for the bottom two plates, and 102.25" for the upper three plates in order to keep the gap on each side approximately 1/8"

5shielding blocks have been transferred from ITE to ITE. ITW is configured to take proton beam.

  ITW turbo pumps  have been started.

TM#2 with Ta#49 has been moved to the west target station from the conditioning station.

I stopped TCS water pumps and vacuum pumps also.   TM2 and TCS will be vented tomorrow morning.

SiC#33 was placed into pail #141 which in turn was placed into slot 2B of the vault. I was 295mS/hr upon removal from the south hot cell.

The HV cover is installed. The Faraday cage at B2 level is locked also.The TCS and TM2 are still pumping down. Everything is good so far.

I did a helium pressure test on TM2 HS water line at TCS. Leak detector base leak rate only could get to 1.8x e-8 atm.cc/sec at this moment. Applied 5 minutes 70psi helium on it. No leak has been found at this level. I connected water to this circuit after the test for weekend TM2 conditioning at TCS.

I will do another helium pressure test after the conditioning. The LD base leak rate should be 0.0Xe-9 atm.cc/sec at that time.

2016-08-29: LD Base leak rate 0.0xe-9atm.cc/sec.TM2 HS line helium pressure check again after conditioning. 70psi helium 5minutes. no response on LD. HS line is perfectly sealed.

Wednesday, August 24, 2016, 20:27: IG2 and IG1S on. Checked on water system.

Conditioning by ISAC operations. Water flow tripped power supplies after a few hours of conditioning at 580 / 230 A and 30 kV. See operations e-log for details.

 The target was inspected by Anders and Chad. The target was in good condition as can be seen on the photos on DocuShare. Only minor accumulation of material on the EE.

TM#2 with Ta#49 has had its electrical check and was moved to the conditioning station. see the attached pdf for the electrical check details.

The electrical check has been edited to reflect that well the original has been just not the PDF.

Start of roughing now.

Chad and I leak checked Tm2 Hs line with new target installed. Base LR 0.0Xe-9 atm.cc/sec.   No leak has been found. This line will be helium pressured at TCS later.

TM2 was disconnected in ITW yesterday and moved to SHC.

Remaining items from anteroom have been bagged and removed (save the boot boxes, 1 garbage can and 1 coverall garbage can).

Room is ready to be surveyed so it can be deemed a non-boot box area for painting.

Ta#49 has been installed on TM2 and tested. All high current fasteners torqued to 130 in lbs.
