1119 Monday, November 09, 2015, 16:47 Anders MjosConditioning StationMaintenanceTM3FEBIAD Test TargetLeak check of Service Cap

Service cap leak checked this afternoon. Found multiple leaks of 10E-8 to 10E-7 range. Connected to the backing line with IG1 at ~4E-6 T, CG1A around 40 mT. Got responses around large round flange on top, rectangular side panels, water f/t on GND and water f/t on HV. Will resume leak checking tomorrow to attempt to pinpoint sources of leak more accurately.

1120 Tuesday, November 10, 2015, 10:23 Anders MjosConditioning StationMaintenanceTM3 Air to vacuum leak on service cap

Conducted a more thorough leak check this morning with Edi. He found a leak on the base of the blue F/T insulator for the multi-pin connector (see attachment). I discovered that all the bolts could rotate freely in the threads as they were too small. The bolts were replaced. The leak rate was reduced but still significant. The o-ring will likely need to be replaced.

Tuesday, November 10, 2015, 17:00: Could not find new o-ring. Cleaned groove and o-ring and applied o-ring grease. Re-attached F/T.

1127 Monday, November 16, 2015, 10:37 David WangConditioning StationRepairTM3 TM3 has been disconnected at TCS.

I stopped the TM3 and TCS vacuum pumps and water system. The TM3 is disconnected and vented. It will be moved to silo this afternoon.

TM#3 has been moved back to the NW silo.

1223 Monday, May 09, 2016, 08:43 David WangConditioning StationRepairTM3 I reinstalled all the side panel on TM3 service cap.

They were moved for TM3 inspection job last week. All the bolts on the panel are hand tight only now since they will be removed out for camera installation during next stage inspection.

PLEASE NOTE: the resistance values for A and B on David's attachment are not correct since these measurements were done after Chad removed the target and the heat-shield bracket was moved, so consequently the water lines were not at their nominal locations. Once they were back in plac,e David took another measurement and the resistance values for A and B showed also 3,000 MOhm (as it was for most of the lines). The only lines that still showed a low resistance were the Coil lines.

 1288 Monday, July 18, 2016, 14:14 David WangConditioning StationRepairTM3 TM3 leak checked at TCS

Last Friday July-15, TM3 was leak checked at TCS. All air to vacuum seals on service cap are good. Helium pressure test on TM3 water lines(except GE, HS, and Window) were done. Leak detector has no response at 0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec. They are leak free.

Friday July 15: did HV tests (with no target installed and with the anode wire removed ).
TM3 went up to 22.5kV. At this voltage it started sparking. The EL was kept at 1/2 with respect to the HV BIAS.
Also HV tests were done while the EL was kept at zero V. In this case, the EL voltage was once in a while spiking up (up to 4kV).
During sparking we saw responses in the vacuum. Checked the Service Cap (with the HV Cover) in the Target Hall: we couldn't hear/see sparks there.
The HV was turned off in the same day, after 5:30pm.

1290 Friday, July 22, 2016, 10:57 David WangConditioning StationRepairTM3 TM3 has been moved and connected at TCS

I started vacuum system.

I started TCS water system. The chiller does not work properly still. But, It will not affect the TM3 HV conditioning. HV cover is installed on TM3 in TH. The module is ready for HV conditioning.
