The repair/cable replacement on the east manipulator is now complete.
Yesterday's initail cable replacement went very well however, due to a minor glich, we were unable to test the tong movement until I was out of
the hot cell. Tong did not fully close and felt like there was a "hard stop" at a repeatable spot in the  closing of the tong. Upon further

In preparation for removing the slave for replacement I discovered that the timing screw in the handle cable drum (master side) had been left threaded
into the pulley...it should have been completely removed. It was bent from hitting on a casting inside the mater arm which most likely contributed to the
hopped pulleys on the slave side. After removing this timing screw I entered the north hot cell and replaced the hopped cable back onto its pulley and

Yesterday Aaron, Isaac and Anders inspected the EZL connection from the service chase to the optics tray using the goose neck camera in SHC. No issues
or shorts could be identified. Containment box was not removed.
Today David and Anders opened up two panels on the service cap and inspected the EZL connection. No issues or shorts could be identified. Photos

This morning the Einzel Lens was tested on TM3 as the intention is to reuse this piece of equipment. The EL was able to achieve 39.9kV at ~1.35mA before
a major spark happened and the power supply turned off. Also during testing the penning gauge suddenly shot up after a spark, it did not recover and had
been acting strange in previous test, it was decided to ignore its value and continue testing but it should be replaced in the future. When I went to save

Another drum of waste was removed from the south hot cell this morning. This drum contained one 5 gal steel pail (damaged), two sodium light bulbs, airlines,
and tank suits. Upon removal the drum was/is 1.5 mSv/h on contact. there was 200 counts of contamination found on the lid...easily removed. It will be
moved to the north hot cell at 11am.
