Entry  Tuesday, March 07, 2017, 14:41, David Wang, ITE, Maintenance, , , ITE dump plug water circuit is closed for ITE IG1S small surge.

It is closed @ 2:35PM by closing supply side valve first , the return side valve of ITE dump plug .

Opened ITE dump plug circuit valves @4:28PM. ITE IG1S still at 1XE-6. No change before and after of circuit closing and reopeneing.

Entry  Wednesday, March 08, 2017, 14:09, David Wang, ITE, Maintenance, TM2, , ITE IG1S increasing. ITE_IGIS_surge.pngITE_IG1S_and_PNG4.pngITE_IG1S_back_to_normal_overnight.pngITE_IG1S_behavior_from_Feb_08th_to_Mar_10th.png

By retrieving data further, It has been found no directly relationship between IG1S surging and dump plug water opening. Vacuum surging is 10minutes ahead dump water supply to circuit. SEE attachment 1. Also, The ITE IG1S start to behavior unusual in middle of Feburary. See attachment 2. Today,  ITE IG1S is still slowly climbing up. I decide to leak check ITE vacuum vessel. Before  leak check, for more information and trouble shooting. I closed water supply to ITE to see if vacuum has response on it. I will return water supply to ITE  tomorrow morning.

Water supply to ITE is returned this afternoon at 2: 10 PM.  Everything works fine so far

I leak checked ITE secondary vessel vacuum. A leak have been found in March 09th noon which is located between entrance module and TM2 top tank flange o-ring seal( on tank flange). It could not be confirm on which side of the o-ring the leak is from.

During last night, ITE IG1S reading went back to normal low E-7 range and stays in this range now. So I leak checked same area again this morning. The leak disappeared now. The o-ring works sometime , but not all the time. The plan for this issue: Change ITE target module side o-ring when TM2 is move out., and watch on the ITE IG1s when TM4 is moved back to ITE and pumped down.

Entry  Friday, March 10, 2017, 09:19, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, , , South Hot Cell Field Measurements

The fields in the hot cell have been measured by means of a pole monitor through the tool port. Field was measured to be 25 uSv/h.

Entry  Tuesday, March 14, 2017, 07:34, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Maintenance, , , Hot Cell Fields

I have re-measured the fields in the hot cell. Fields at shield door Al cover are 101 uSv\h, in cell at the east manipulator are 245 uSv\h, and the largest field is 1.84 mSv\h...this appears to be the high current fasteners removed from the last target.

Entry  Tuesday, March 14, 2017, 11:46, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Maintenance, , , 'Z' motion cable dry run

Did a dry run with the latest procedure with Dan Mcdonald. Elapsed time was approximately 30 min.

Entry  Wednesday, March 15, 2017, 07:45, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Maintenance, , , South Hot Cell Fields

I have moved the suspected "hot" items in the hot cell and placed them under some lead bricks. I have re-measured the fields and it has been reducded to 90 uSv\h at the manipulator repair area and 110 uSv/h at the previous 1.82 mSv\h area.

Entry  Thursday, March 16, 2017, 10:32, David Wang, Spent Target Vault, Repair, TM4, , TM4 and its silo rust photos 13x

I watched rust on TM4 and its silo. Most of rust are on est side of module and silo. See attachments

Entry  Thursday, March 16, 2017, 12:24, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Maintenance, , , West 'Z' motion cable replacement

The west 'Z' motion cable on the east manipulator has successfully been replaced. The job took slightly less than an hour (including inspection of the scissor table hoses) and I received 0.075mSv. Scissor table hoses appear to be fine and also didn't "shed" or flake at all when checked by hand.

All target in the ISAC spent target vault have been either assayed or had their fields measured or both.

Entry  Tuesday, March 21, 2017, 11:59, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM4, , Rust inpsection on TM4 service cap inside surface and shielding plug surface.  11x

Yasmine and I did a rust inpsection on TM4 service cap inide surface and shielding plug surface. No rust has been found. Also, all steel bolts on this surface look fine. The inside of silo held this module are rust free as well.  See attachments

Strange noise and a burning brake type smell was observed yesterday by David and Anders when running the main 20 ton hoist locally.  A service call was arranged today with Gordon Crane.  No major issues were found.  A more detailed summary is in the attached e-mail correspondence.  Gordon Crane will issue a formal report, but they recommend replacing both sets of brake disks and brake calipers. - Grant

Entry  Wednesday, March 29, 2017, 14:11, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, , small leak on TM4 Ta(-) water line. TM4_2017_leak_check_in_ITE.png

A small leak has been found on TM4 Ta(-) which is marked as "B" on terminal blocks. The LD base Leak rate is 1.2XE-8 atm.cc/sec. 70psi helium has been applied to Ta(-) water line for 3minutes. The leak rate went up to 2.5xE-6 atm.cc/sec and stabilized there. Anders found a helium response on RGA helium reading during the same time. This confirms the leak is real. Other lines are leak checked today also. They are good still. All TM4 water lines were leak checked in ITE in 2017 January. They  were all good at 0.0 X E-9 atm.cc/sec. See attachment e-log.

Entry  Thursday, March 30, 2017, 11:21, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM4, , Leak check on TM4 Ta(-) water lines in service cap

Leak check on TM4 Ta(-) water lines in service cap is done. LD base LR after 50minutes pumping down:0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec. base pressure: 0.0XE-4 torr. I sprayed lots helium on welding stems on Ta(-) line in service cap including stems in blue nylon insulator and stems to service tray.  no any response has been foun on LD. The Ta(-) line in service cap is leak free.

Totally panel open and leak check time is about 12minutes. Argon vented TCS before leak check this morning.

Entry  Tuesday, April 04, 2017, 10:23, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, , Helium pressure leak check on TM4 Ta(-) water lines

This morning, The helium pressure leak check on TM4 Ta(-) is done after TM4 finished conditioning yesterday.  LD base LR:8.0XE-9 atm.cc/sec, base pressure: 0.0XE-4 torr. Applied 70 psi helium to TM4 TA(-) water line. The LR slowly climbed to 2.2XE-7 atm.cc/sec, and stopped there. Waited for 5 minutes and change at 2.2 X E-7 atm.cc/sec.

Entry  Tuesday, April 04, 2017, 10:24, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, , Stopped TCS pumps this morning

Argon vented TCS and TM4 after pumps are stopped.

Entry  Tuesday, April 04, 2017, 14:39, David Wang, Crane, Standard Operation, , , Crane check main hoist on jogging with shielding plug lifted.

Today, I checked TH crane main hoist  when shielding plug is installed into ITE pit. I did  some jogging actions on main hoist during the operation. Everything looks fine. No burning smell, no strange noise. An outside crane expert suggest that jogging is the worst working situation for crane. We have to use jogging actions during our crane operation. But, we could try to use less jogging when operate the crane.
