|
Strange noise and a burning brake type smell was observed yesterday by David and Anders when running the main 20 ton hoist locally. A service call
was arranged today with Gordon Crane. No major issues were found. A more detailed summary is in the attached e-mail correspondence. Gordon
Crane will issue a formal report, but they recommend replacing both sets of brake disks and brake calipers. - Grant |

Wednesday, March 29, 2017, 14:11, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, , small leak on TM4 Ta(-) water line.
|
A small leak has been found on TM4 Ta(-) which is marked as "B" on terminal blocks. The LD base Leak rate is 1.2XE-8 atm.cc/sec. 70psi helium
has been applied to Ta(-) water line for 3minutes. The leak rate went up to 2.5xE-6 atm.cc/sec and stabilized there. Anders found a helium response on
RGA helium reading during the same time. This confirms the leak is real. Other lines are leak checked today also. They are good still. All TM4 water lines |
Thursday, March 30, 2017, 11:21, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, TM4, , Leak check on TM4 Ta(-) water lines in service cap
|
Leak check on TM4 Ta(-) water lines in service cap is done. LD base LR after 50minutes pumping down:0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec. base pressure: 0.0XE-4 torr.
I sprayed lots helium on welding stems on Ta(-) line in service cap including stems in blue nylon insulator and stems to service tray. no any response
has been foun on LD. The Ta(-) line in service cap is leak free. |
Tuesday, April 04, 2017, 10:23, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, , Helium pressure leak check on TM4 Ta(-) water lines
|
This morning, The helium pressure leak check on TM4 Ta(-) is done after TM4 finished conditioning yesterday. LD base LR:8.0XE-9 atm.cc/sec, base
pressure: 0.0XE-4 torr. Applied 70 psi helium to TM4 TA(-) water line. The LR slowly climbed to 2.2XE-7 atm.cc/sec, and stopped there. Waited for 5 minutes
and change at 2.2 X E-7 atm.cc/sec. |

Tuesday, April 04, 2017, 14:39, David Wang, Crane, Standard Operation, , , Crane check main hoist on jogging with shielding plug lifted.
|
Today, I checked TH crane main hoist when shielding plug is installed into ITE pit. I did some jogging actions on main hoist during the operation.
Everything looks fine. No burning smell, no strange noise. An outside crane expert suggest that jogging is the worst working situation for crane. We have
to use jogging actions during our crane operation. But, we could try to use less jogging when operate the crane. |

|
We have a ram installed on SHC pole which is 0.5 meter to module shielding block surface. the readings we got today during TM3 move:
at containment box center (highest reading): 3.14 msv/hr.

Thursday, April 13, 2017, 10:32, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Repair, TM3, , TM3 Lower Service Tray Video Inspection
|
A video inspection of the lower service tray was performed this morning. Camera was inserted upwards into the service tray/service chase from the containment
box. One potential spark mark was identified as well as epoxy not flush with insulator. Fiberglass does not extend into service tray/chase much and does
not look, from initial inspection that it will be too difficult to remove. |
