Thursday, August 01, 2024, 14:56

EVAP1:  Checked seal and no visible deterioration was observed.  Oil level in roughing pump was good.  Circulated argon to observe functionality of the gloves and to check appropriate gas flow.

EVAP2:  Visually inspected the connections at the back of the evaporator.  A loose connection had been observed on the previous day but fixed.  Roughing pump running well and system operational.  The door seal could not be checked but it is working properly as evidenced by the fact that the evaporator was in use. No major maintenance required at this moment.

Ultrasonicator in Cold Lab:  The ultrasonicator cooling lines and their operation was checked.  The functionality of the probe and operation software was checked.  Visual inspection of probes and water receptacle showed good operational condition.

Thursday, November 21, 2024, 11:46: 2 Glovebox gloves were changed. The far right glove & the far left glove.

No contamination was found on the sealing edges of the glove box. Both old gloves were placed in bags & placed in the alpha waste bin.

Work Permit: I2024-11-21-2

Note* Changing both inner gloves is recommended later. We had considered to do both however the O2 ppm spiked after the change of the first two. We were at 185 ppm & aim to not cross 200 ppm.

Additional info:

The remaining gloves were inspected and appeared in acceptable condition.  A regeneration was performed shortly after and the gas lines, pump lines were also inspected.  This will be considered as the inspection for the current inspection cycle.
