EOB for SEBT1 run at 08:30, taking 11Li from ITE and 22Ne2+ from OLIS when needed. Attempted emittance scans last evening, but no data showed, and no
more time to investigate. So be it. Another time. |

Last day of this pilot beam to TUDA-II. Expect a beam switch tomorrow for sake of TIGRESS.
Attached is Stripchart of weekend beam operation. Pretty nice indeed. Top trace (red) is Q3 skimmer, representative of total beam out of the source
Blue trace is 22Ne2+ on FC6 with magnet field stabilization program active. Brown trace is NA-LCW temperature as measured at exit of Supernanogan plasma |

MWS continues to provide 22Ne2+ for pilot beam use. Beam quietly sitting on FC6. Stripchart attached. Also, Supernanogan plasma is on at low RF power
for conditioning. |

Beam continues to be reserved for E1147 pilot beam use. Beam was nice and stable overnight, as expected. Beam (blue) followed source (red), independently
of ambient temperature, roughly reflected in the nearby Supernanogan plasma chamber temperature (maroon).
Later... at 10:14 today there was a sitewide power bump due to an HPL test. It tripped the cyclotron and one isolated ISAC ion gauge. The ICR operators |

Back to pilot beam status as of around 18:00 last night. A couple of sideshows through the evening. ICR made an elog entry about the IOS:MB field stability
program here. But the information shown
is inconclusive. As noted in a work permit, Magstab is in fact using our |

Leak checking on the Supernanogan continues today. We are preparing for an up-coming 33S run, for which we want "perfect" vacuum. We're close.
Later... MCIS backing line is now running on leak detector only. Calibration in progress... Done.
There was a short MCIS vacuum excursion at ~09:15. There were two similar ones overnight. Probable cause: sealant outgassing. |

By agreement, the source came down this morning for continuing Supernanogan development. Main event: leak detecting.
Later... Robert and Tim lead leak detectors. Synopsis: A minute leak at waveguide flange on plasma chamber. We decided to seal it with a drop of
vacuum sealant. Worked like a jet. Once Supernanogan beams are done for this beam schedule, we will remove the waveguide and re-machine and weld the flange. |

Supernanogan development, mainly for the sake of the upcoming 33S run, took place for a little while on Friday. It was expected to go through tomorrow
(Tuesday), but we got the call for beam on Friday evening just before the Canucks game started. So it's up again. The beam was used for a while on Sunday
to check beam energy. |

MW source is back and running.
A new vacuum chamber is added to the Supernanogan RF block.
SO2 is not filled in yet. |

Supernanogan development for 33S started. All MW and MW and MCIS power sypplies are off.
Gas for microwave source also closed from hand valve
Later... separator field stability development. Local Hall probe is online. Let it cook. |

Beam from MWS remains quietly sitting on FC6, on standby for pilot beam use to SEBT1. The cyclotron is still down with cryogenerator issues. Latest prediction
is first protons this evening. |

Beam on standby for pilot beam. Cyclotron is still down with vacuum troubles since ~03:00, so no RIB to ISAC. |
Tue May 4 14:19:18 2010, Damien Gallop, , , 22Ne2+ at 22.44keV for SEBT1

Beam from MWS continues for pilot beam use into SEBT1. There are cyclotron issues with cryogenics, so 11Li delivery from ITE is suspended temporarily.
Later... we purchased a small UPS for the MCISRFIOC server. It arrived yesterday. After overnight charging, we installed it today. This is in response
to the hardware failure a couple of weeks ago. |

Beam was switched on Friday morning from 16O1+ to 22Ne2+. This time it's a pilot beam for a 11Li experiment. |

Mid-morning the source was switched over from 16O1+ to 22Ne2+ operation for a new experiment. OLIS will be used as the pilot beam during this 11Li run
to SEBT1/TUDA-II. |

Delivery to S1151 went quietly overnight for their last few hours. The run ended at ~08:30 as scheduled. Marco and ICR did some EOB checks. Also, a quick
EOB emittance scan is attached. There were problems
with the beam tune save files, since resolved. Among the last ones are 100430_0918.snapiossebt2 (missing SEBT optics) and 100429_2023.snapiossebt2. |

Beam delivery continued nicely through the night.
Yesterday Controls repaired and reinstalled the MCISRFIOC computer. It is working well. More details to come. |

Nominal beam operation to SEBT2 overnight. A chart of beam over the last few days is attached. There is a step change in the separator field right around
midnight. Although the archive does not show it, in fact this was adjusted at 23:54 last night.
