Entry  Tuesday, October 13, 2015, 16:04, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, IV4 timed out

Contacted Graham W. (controls) to have a look. It turned out to be a limit switch problem. Removed and reinstalled limit switch solved the time out issue.

Entry  Wednesday, October 14, 2015, 16:13, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, TMS:RP2 replaced

by vacuum group. The pump was making more noise than usual.

Entry  Thursday, October 15, 2015, 11:19, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, Right side TGHT connector block removed Photo_2015-10-16_11_57_45_AM.jpgPhoto_2015-10-16_11_57_51_AM.jpg

The keensert has been worn out and will be replaced.

The keensert was re-tapped and the block re-installed. New bolts used for TGHT connection (2x). Swagelok T connections shortened (pluged).

It seems the exhaust line is blocked which caused pressure to build up and eventually forced the exhaust tube off RP2 as RP1 was roughing down the vacuum chamber.

Vacuum group has been notified and will ask plant group to investigate.

Plant group has removed the blockage. Exhaust lines are reconnected to the roughing pumps.

Entry  Monday, November 02, 2015, 12:47, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, Removed Swagelok T from rioght TGHT water lines

Entry  Wednesday, December 02, 2015, 14:50, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, Nitrogen supply for venting temporarely from bottle

No supply of N through the piping due to work on the N tanks. Confirmed with Geoff Hodgson. ISIS supply is shut off. Using a bottle until the supply is returned.

Monday, January 11, 2016

Nitrogen supply from ISIS restored and reconnected.

Entry  Friday, December 18, 2015, 11:44, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, IG6 not reading correctly

The new controller (XGS-600) installed for IG6 use a different voltage to pressure conversion than the previous models. This causes a discrepancy between values in EPICS and the value displayed on the controller. An e-fault has been submitted.

Friday, December 18, 2015, 14:40: EPICS updated and restarted.

Entry  Wednesday, January 06, 2016, 09:28, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, Water leak fixed on flow sensor for HS circuit

The Swagelok fitting on the return side of the flow sensor for the HS circuit was tightened to stop the leak. See e-fault 8650

Edi Dalla Valle from vacuum group replaced the roughing pump TSG:RP1 in the morning. However, the pumping curve showed a leak: see attachment. It was suspected the VCR water line connection between the lid and the base of the target Heat Shield. After venting the chamber found the VCR connection between the lid and the base forgotten finger tight. Tighten it with wrenches and restarted pumping.

Turned ON the water for the heat shield cooling circuit. Put a lockout padlock on the transformer breaker since Controls work still seems to be underway.
