Saturday, August 07, 2021, 18:07, Fernando Maldonado, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, FC0 lasrge oscillation and RMPs offset. Both started today. [Got solved by itself]
|
Saturday, August 07, 2021, 18:02: As mentions in previous entries, the FC0 current oscillates with no change on ion source parameters.
Hence, I came on-site to see if there was an issue with the hardware. Nothing obvious.
Last night there were some sparks that might have cause some issue. |
Thursday, June 19, 2014, 10:48, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, FC0 did not retract from beam line
|
Upon inspection it was found that the bolt attaching the FC to the actuator had fallen off. The bolt was reattached and FC0 can be actuated in/out again. |

Tuesday, February 06, 2024, 14:06: Attempted to 'Close' FC0. While it succeeded in moving into position, HPA rushed out of the exhaust. This solenoid
was replaced recently on January 18th. Requires replacement. (ordered)

Issues with valve operations due to a leak in the solenoid valve above FC0. The HPA leak did not allow for sufficient pressure to remain in the lines
to operate. The solenoid as changed this morning.
Thursday, January 18, 2024, 10:32: Roughing. Valves can be cycled. FC0 cycled. OK. |

The reset restored the control.
But magnet supply does not put any amperage out.
Try turning it off and on. No chance. |

The system was vented to make clearance on the waterlines as a very small continuous discharge was observed.
The inspection revealed some marks on the HS water line (sideview photo). From the the bottom and from real close (zoom and backview photo) the
marks are quite noticeable with shinny copper in the middle and dark circles around. |
