The F-308 have been cleaned and serviced. There were three F-308's that came back with some contamination.#13, #15 and #19 were found to have contamination. They were decontaminated. All of the loose contamination was removed. There is still some fixed contamination. The levels of contamination are low enough to still be used for shipping spent targets. They have been moved to the north hot cell area and are ready for to be filled with spent targets.

Ta#39 has been transferred to spent target storage vault. Ta#39 was placed into pail #106 and placed into spot of 4C of the spent target vault. The pail measured 95.8mSv/hr upon removal from the hot cell. See attached PDF for details.

Ta#36 has been installed on TM4 and is awaiting leak and electrical check.

A small piece of the standard top insulator ITA3376 broke off during removal of Ta#35 (indicated with a blue circle on attached pictures).

"JP's connector, ITA2493 showed the usual and as yet undiagnosed "arc" mark (picture to follow).

The plastic retainers on the new torqtite gaskets showed rad damage.

Tm4 w/ Ta#36 has been vacuum leak checked using the standard leak check procedure.

At 1:45pm RH was contacted to notify them that TM4 is ready to move.

Entry  Thursday, August 18, 2011, 13:12, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx #2, UCx #2 Installation

UCx #2 has been installed onto TM1.

Installation went well except the left leg got bent slightly sometime between testing on the jig and installation onto the module (probably during removal for the argon filled bag). Leg was gentle offered into place and its clearance with the heat shield double checked with both a mirror and goose neck camera. Leg was close to ther heat shield but appeared to have clearance. Anders and John Wong viewed this and deemed it ok. Video images of this clearance were recorded.

Leak checking was also completed successfully:

Base pressure on the leak detector was a constant 0.0 x 10-4, Stable leak rate was an unwavering 0.0 x 10-9.

Both heat sheild circuits were checked twice (starting with the highest gland) and sprayed with a 2 second burst of helium into the test hole in the nut. No reponses were seen after 1 minute an any of the circuits.

Bevan Moss and David Wang performed an electrical check which they relayed to me that the module with target installed had passed.

Entry  Wednesday, September 28, 2011, 10:06, chad fisher, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM4, Ta#36, Ta#36 Removal

Ta#36 was removed from target module 4.

The standard, unexplained, un-investegated, un-resolved "arc" were again present on "JP's connector", otherwise no apparent problems visible.

Base Pressure: 0.0x10-4

Stable Leak Rate: 0.0x10-9

Leak check of tube heater circuit, containment box side was performed.

Initail check at tube heater block on source tray yeilded a response 60 sec after the 2 second spray of helium. The response was very small and recovered immediately.

This area was checked twice more but the reponse could not be recreated.

Joint at the waterblocks was tested with an intial 2 sec spray. No response after 60 sec.

Waterblock joint was tested again with a 4 second spray. No response after 60 sec.

HP febiad target SiC#26 was installed onto Tm4 on Monday morning.

"JP's" connector required lossing of the two mounting fasteners. Connector was pushed tight to its mating half on the source tray and both fasteners retightened, and the mating checked; it was good.

Two new 7/8 long 3/8-16 fasteners were used for the febiad coil connections.

Installation went well.

Leak check was performed:

Base Pressure: 0.0x10-4

Stable leak rate 0.0x10-9

Left vcr joint was checked two times with a 2 second spray of helium with a 60 second waiting time between sprays; no response.

Right vcr joint was checked two times with a 2 second spray of helium with a 60 second waiting time between sprays; no response.

Fllod of system with a 6 second spray; no response.
