David Wang | South Hot-Cell | Standard Operation | TM3 | | window circuit leak check |
This morning, Bevan and I leak checked window circuit on TM3 at SHC after containment box was installed. It took about 20minutes to pump down the circuit to 0.0xE-9atm.cc/sec. Bevan sprayed helium on both VCR joints and a final splash. No response had been found on leak detector. |

chad fisher | South Hot-Cell | Repair | TM2 | | waterblock cleaning |
New cleaning and polishing pads have been inserted onto the hot cell as well as rubber bungs and a new blank off.
The inital waterblock cleaning with the "scotch bright" pads has been completed. See attached pictures...the first picture being before and the second after.
Tommorow the water block will have bungs put in and a leak check to check the block will take place. After that, the new blank off will be installed and tested.

David Wang | Conditioning Station | Repair | TM4 | | water leak on TM4 Tube heater - B line confirmed. |
At 8:50 AM today, I applied water to TM4 tube heater - (B) line at TCS. All high vacuum gauges got response on this action. Water is leaking through B line on TM4.
It should be D line . David 2018-06-05 |

David Wang | Conditioning Station | Repair | TM2 | | venting TCS with argon. |
Anders reported a possible air leak on TM2 and TCS by watching RGA this morning. I found the quick connector on F terminal on the top of the module is leaking air. It is only used as "X" terminal for Febiad without water. So, it should be blind capped instead of installing a quick connector. It was installed with a blind cap before. I borrowed it for leak check on coil lines at SHC, but forgot to put it back right away. Instead, I put a quick connector on it later. This caused the problem. Anyway The TCS need to be vented , and a blind cap will be installed on the F terminal.
2014-04-18, 9:24AM, I changed the quick connector with a blind cap on F terminal. the rough pump is started now. |

David Wang | ITW | Repair | TM2 | | venting ITW and TM2 with argon. |
A short between TM2 EE and bias is produced yesterday during tube heater ramp up. Alex asked for an argon venting on ITW to see if the problem could be solved by venting and pumping down yesterday. I set up argon venting system in electrical room and started the venting at 8:30 AM this morning. It will take 5 hours to vent the ITW to 760 torr(mechanical gauge reading). The venting system pressure is set as 2 torr. A pressure relieve valve is installed into ITW venting line to prevent station over venting. The argon bottle valve in electrical room will be closed by isac opps after 5 hours venting. |

David Wang | ITE/ITW | Development | | | vacuum pit ventilation upgrade. |
vacuum pit ventilation upgrade was done last week. The jobs include: installed two industrial cooling fans. One is placed in pit on resin tan cover. Other one is placed on and opening to pit by shielding blocks. They are installed for better air circulation in pit. Also, 2x two small 20W cooling fans are installed on ITH MP1 and MP1S to low the pump operation temperature. The result is positive. The ventilation status in pit meets the pump operation requirement (good ventilation and 40 Celsuis below) . ITH CG2S 0.0 mtorr. ITH CG2 0.26mtorr. |

Friedhelm Ames | Conditioning Station | Development | TM3 | NiO#2 | trip of all power supplies |
All power supplies tripped on high conductivity of the cooling water < 5 MOhm, It is not clear if this was caused by a spark or vice versa. According to the strip tool for this signal the resistance of the water went up. There might be a fault in this signal. I do not have permission to force this signal so I keep the heaters off. We should revisit the interlock conditions, this signal should not be included in the interlocks for the heaters. Both target and tube seem to be still o.k. As I do not want to destroy the target I keep the heaters off and restart the high voltage only. |

Matthew Gareau | North Hot-Cell | Maintenance | | | topped up the NHC window oil through the oil expansion tank |
Myself and Maico were able to top up the NHC window oil.
The oil was filled through the expansion tank
- the Nitrogen line closed and the Nitrogen pressure valve was disconnected to ensure that no oil would go in to them.
- the pressure relief valve was disconnected to act as an air bleed line while we filled the oil
- with a funnel we slowly added the oil until the oil level could be read, showing about half full
- about 1.5 liters of oil were added
- once filled the Nitrogen line was reattached and the pressure was returned to recommended level
- the remaining oil was returned the RH shop
Now the oil level will be monitored, which will help identify if there is any leak in the system. |

Keith C Ng | Assembly/Bench Test | Repair | TM2 | | tm 2 source tray build |
Attached alignment check notes after brazing and fabrication.
First page lower half shows establishment of baseline using master jig
Second page top half shows the alignment of the target mounting plate jig and the steerer cone aperture.
Second page bottom half shows alignment of the master target jig. Master target jig needed the 9 pin and heat shield locating features removed to seat the target correctly.
Overall, source tray assembly sits .006" high on average (min .003", max .010"), .003" to the left with respect to ion beam axis. |

Target pit Hepa filter has been replaced today. There is 500 counts on swipe which is taken inside of the replaced filter. The field measurement on the filter wood box is less than 0.5 usv/hr on contact. Right now,The outlets of the old filter are sealed with thick plastic and duct tape. The whole filter is wrapped with plastic sheet and tape. It has been moved to SHC ante room. It will be moved out of there by Tony.N soon with RPG help. |
