leak detector pumped down to 0.0xE-9 atm.cc/sec, and 0.0xE-4 torr. All high vacuum gauge readings at CS and TM4 are at low -6 range from 2.2xE-6torr to 4.2x E-6 torr. Applied 80 psi helium  to heat shield circuit for 5minutes and there is no any response on leak detector. The heat shield circuit is leak tight.

TM4 had been connected in ITE. Six turbo pump had been started . thepumpming diwn is very good so far. The water interlock check on ITE and TM4 had been finished and everything is good. All water signals are strong and constant by visually checking.

Entry  Wednesday, September 12, 2012, 11:59, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx, TM1 disconnected in ITW

I removed 5 shielding blocks from ITW to block storage area, and disconnected TM1 in ITW. After UCx run,  the radioactive level around the turbo pumps and primary vacuum lines are pretty high. This affect the general field inside the ITW pit around working area.i took 15 minuts to finish the job and i got 0.1msvr dose. the general field around my working area is about 350 usv/h.

Entry  Tuesday, September 18, 2012, 13:41, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, leak check heat shield circuit

Chad and i did a leak check on TM1 heat shield circuit with new Nb#7 target installed. It took about 5 mins pump down the circuit to leak rate 0.0x E-9atm.cc/sec and 0.0x E-4 torr on leak detector.

All vacuum lines and joints which connected to the leak detector had been helium sprayed and they are leak  tight. Chad sprayed helium on each VCR joints for 2 seconds every time. During 45sec waiting time, there is no any response on leak detector. Chad repeated same test again for double checking and we got same result. Chad finally flushed the helium around the target heat shield for 10 seconds.we waited for 45minute and found no response on the leak detector. The heat shield circuit is leak tight at this stage. I will do a helium pressure test on this circuit when TM1 is in CS and under vacuum.

Leak detector pumped down to base LR1.3xE-9 atm.cc/sec, and BP 8xE-3 torr. All high vacuum gauge readings at CS and TM1 are at low -6 range from 1.2xE-6torr to 4.6x E-6 torr. Applied 80 psi helium  to heat shield circuit for 5minutes and there is no any response on leak detector. The heat shield circuit is leak tight.

Entry  Tuesday, September 25, 2012, 14:33, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, TM1connected in ITW

TM 1 is in ITW now. All connections are done. The turbo pumps had been started this afternoon. The vacuum looks good so far. The water interlock check which related to TM1 are done. They are good. All TM1 water signals are visually checked and they are strong.  The rest interlock check ( MCR XT page) will be finished before shielding blocks moving. The MAA is locked and ITE is ready for proton beam.

Entry  Thursday, September 27, 2012, 09:13, David Wang, ITE, Repair, TM4, , ITE MSP water circuit flow wheel had been replaced

ITE MSP water circuit flow wheel was replaced yesterday due to poor performance.

Entry  Tuesday, October 02, 2012, 11:47, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, Nb#7, I moved 5 shielding blocks from ITE to ITW.

5 shielding blocks have been moved from ITE to ITW. ITW is configured to take proton beam now.

Entry  Thursday, October 04, 2012, 11:06, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Repair, , , Replace conditioning station scroll pump in target hall

Grant and I replaced the conditioning station broken  srcoll pump with a refurbished scroll pump which is supplied by vacuum group. The replaced pump is bagged and waiting for RPG further survey in target hall . The target hall is survey after the job, and everything is fine.

Entry  Tuesday, October 09, 2012, 10:35, David Wang, ITE, Standard Operation, TM4, NiO #1, Disconnected TM4 in ITE.

I disconnected TM4 in ITE this morning. The heat shield circuit has been purged with air.

Entry  Tuesday, October 16, 2012, 07:14, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM4, UCX#5, TM4 heat shield helium pressure test and electrical check at CS

TM4 heat shield helium pressure test and electrical check were done  at CS  last week. The results are good. NO leak had been found on heat shield circuit. The electrical check is also good.
