TM2 was disconnected in ITW yesterday and moved to SHC.

Entry  Wednesday, August 24, 2016, 10:44, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM2, , SHC, TM2 leak check on HS line.

Chad and I leak checked Tm2 Hs line with new target installed. Base LR 0.0Xe-9 atm.cc/sec.   No leak has been found. This line will be helium pressured at TCS later.

Entry  Wednesday, August 24, 2016, 10:45, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM2, , TM2 vacuum system has been connected at TCS

Start of roughing now.

Entry  Wednesday, August 24, 2016, 11:06, Travis Cave, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM2, Ta#49, module moved and electrical check TM2_elechk_SiC34_SHC.PDF

TM#2 with Ta#49 has had its electrical check and was moved to the conditioning station. see the attached pdf for the electrical check details.

The electrical check has been edited to reflect that well the original has been just not the PDF.

Wednesday, August 24, 2016, 20:27: IG2 and IG1S on. Checked on water system.

Conditioning by ISAC operations. Water flow tripped power supplies after a few hours of conditioning at 580 / 230 A and 30 kV. See operations e-log for details.

Entry  Thursday, August 25, 2016, 08:36, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM2, , Helium pressure test on TM2 HS water lline

I did a helium pressure test on TM2 HS water line at TCS. Leak detector base leak rate only could get to 1.8x e-8 atm.cc/sec at this moment. Applied 5 minutes 70psi helium on it. No leak has been found at this level. I connected water to this circuit after the test for weekend TM2 conditioning at TCS.

I will do another helium pressure test after the conditioning. The LD base leak rate should be 0.0Xe-9 atm.cc/sec at that time.

2016-08-29: LD Base leak rate 0.0xe-9atm.cc/sec.TM2 HS line helium pressure check again after conditioning. 70psi helium 5minutes. no response on LD. HS line is perfectly sealed.

Entry  Thursday, August 25, 2016, 08:43, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM2, , All TM2 connections to TCS are done.

The HV cover is installed. The Faraday cage at B2 level is locked also. The TCS and TM2 are still pumping down. Everything is good so far.

Entry  Monday, August 29, 2016, 13:34, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM2, , TM2 has been disconnected at TCS

I stopped TCS water pumps and vacuum pumps also.   TM2 and TCS will be vented tomorrow morning.

Entry  Tuesday, August 30, 2016, 10:35, Travis Cave, ITW, Standard Operation, TM2, Ta#49, module moved

TM#2 with Ta#49 has been moved to the west target station from the conditioning station.

Entry  Tuesday, August 30, 2016, 13:17, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM2, , TM2 has been connected at ITW

Entry  Wednesday, October 12, 2016, 10:00, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM2, , TM2 was disconnected at ITW

TM2 was disconnected at ITW. 3 water circuits in ITW gave been looped to keep 75 GPM water flow to ITW. HS line was purged at HS. RPG got the water sample.

TM#2 has been moved from the south hot cell to the south west silo.

Entry  Friday, October 21, 2016, 15:10, Anders Mjos, South Hot-Cell, Repair, TM2, Ta#49, Stuck TGHT clamp bolt removal

During target removal on Wednesday October 12th, the left target heater conductor bolt (ITD0058) could not be removed. The bolt was found to be stuck in the threads (keensert) of the TGHT conductor block (ITA0583). In the process of attempting to remove the bolt, the conductor insulator (ITD0054) cracked (ref assy ITD0052). To allow increased torque to be applied and support the conductor block, a clamping jig (ITD0612) was designed and fabricated. The jig was assembled and it's function tested on the ISAC Test Stand on Friday 14th. On Monday 17th the bolt could be removed using the clamping jig and a socket wrench with an extended handle.

The threads on the removed bolt was damaged. A new set of bolts were therefore prepared and a tap was run through the keensert to restore the threads. The threads in the conductor block was tested and found to be OK using a new bolt.

The spent target could now be removed. Unfortunately the right manipulator failed during installation of a new conductor insulator, which forced the repair of the insulator and installation of the new target (SiC#35) to be postponed until the manipulator can be repaired.

Sic#35 has been installed onto TM2. High current fasteners torqued to 130 in lbs.

Mating of the 9 pin connector was extremely problematic but in the end I was able to get it to mate properly. Noticed left (when facing module in hot cell) febiad coil left twisted a bit when torqued up.

Entry  Monday, October 24, 2016, 14:54, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM2, , SHC, TM2 leak check on HS line.

Chad and I did the leak check on TM2 heat shield line. LD base leak rate:0.0xE-9atm.cc/sec. Base pressure:0.0X E-9 torr. The line is leak free.
