The spent target vault door does not open or close. The emergency door closing did have to be used to close the door as it was locked in an open position, the door stopped just off the open override limit. The door was closed and the spent target that was being assayed was placed into the mini storage. The problem with the door appears to be related to the motor itself, as all the controls to the motor appear to be in working order. Also it was noticed on the emergency door closing winch the wire rope has a kink in it from sitting in open position for so long this can cause the wire rope to jump from the pulleys.

6/27/2016  Dan McDonald. Replacement motor was ordered from Beaver Industries Friday the 24th received this morning the 27th. Once received Travis wired the motor to its proper operating orientation. Once the motor was wired  it was  set it up and plugged it in to test rotation and control function, at this point we disconnected the motor and re installed it to the gear box. Ran three open close sequences to ensure all was well. In the case of the emergency cable system a plan is being developed to correct the cable slack and kinking problem. We went ahead and ordered a spare  vault motor which is located in the RH Machine Shop 

The spent target assay were finally started or re-started today. Four targets were done today.

June 29 2016 another four targets were done today.

June 30 2016 all targets have assayed and measured. see the attached PDFs for the results.

The five spent target F308  flasks where gone through in accordance with Nordion guidelines, the sixth spare is remains in the Hot Cell area. All flasks where in reasonable shape with two needing weld repairs on the pallets. I replaced all the 3/4" pallet to flask fasteners with new Grade 8 bolts nut and washer combo. Flasks have been moved into the Hot Cell area awaiting movement into the Target Hall.

The spent Ta#48 was moved from the south hot cell to the spent target vault. I was placed in pail 139 and is in spot 6C in the vault. It was 201mSv/hr when measured at the hot cell. See the attached PDF for the latest results.

The spent UC #16 have been moved from the south hot cell to the storage vault see attached PDF for details.

SiC#33 was placed into pail #141 which in turn was placed into slot 2B of the vault. I was 295mS/hr upon removal from the south hot cell.

The spent UC#17 has been moved from the south hot cell to the spent target vault. See the attached pdf for details.

Ta#49 has been removed from the south hot cell and placed in the storage vault. It is in pail 146 and in spot 6A.

Spent SiC#34 was moved on the 3rd of November and  placed in the spent target vault. See attached pdf for details.

On November 24th 2016 the spent SiC#35 was moved from the south hot cell to the spent target vault. see attached pdf for details.

I watched rust on TM4 and its silo. Most of rust are on est side of module and silo. See attachments

All target in the ISAC spent target vault have been either assayed or had their fields measured or both.

Transfered the 2A window from the ISAC Storage Vault to the Cyclotron Vault Tunnel Storage area. RPG storage form attached.

The pail containing window was transferred from the Storage Vault to the Cyclotron Vault Tunnel Storage 2017 Mar 24. It was placed in a brick bunker along the north wall and marked with item #1434. RPG storage form is attached.

Highest field measured at 0.5 m was 3000 uSv/h with an estimate of 4000 uSv/h on contact with the pail. Pail exterior was not contaminated. See attached storage form for details.

 

2A window has been removed from the vault and moved over the cyclotron vault tunnels.  Attached is the updated storage vault list.

Rust on S/W silo and cover plate stored at silo area are cleaned up.

Five spent targets have been moved from the target storage vault to the mini vault in preparation for Thursdays loading of the F-308s. See attached for the list of targets in the mini vault, and the new status of the storage vault.

 Mini Vault Door as some difficulty over coming a small hump on its track. To open the door one needs to give the door  a slight tug while it is opening to over come this hump.

The spent UC#19 target has been moved from the south hot cell into the spent target storage. It was placed in pail #145 and put in tray one spot C. See attached PDF for all vault details.

The spent Ta#51 target has been moved from the south hot cell to the spent target vault. It was placed in pail#149 and put in spot 8B of the vault.
