Power leads cold again, power supply ramping up. |

Compressor still on. Starting flow to solenoid |

solenoid tripped on power lead temp. I was here and caught it. System
cooling. |
Fri Nov 23 08:35:37 2007, Doug Preddy, Normal Running, power lead problems
|
About 10 hours ago the power lead temperatures started to fluctuate and
climb.
I cycled CV142 and the Temps have dropped and stablized. |
Mon Nov 26 09:45:43 2007, Doug Preddy, Normal Running, power lead problems
|
Power lead temperatures were rippling yesterday afternoon. I asked one of
the operators to cycle CV142.
The temperatures were rippling again this morning, so I cycled CV142. |
Fri Oct 29 14:25:23 2004, Doug Preddy, Normal Running, power lead flows dropping
|
Flow is down to <190 mm. temps are starting to climb. Cycled HIC142 |

power temps as follows:
LHE_IN 23
PL_POS 36
PL_NEG 31
Flow <90mm
cycled HIC 142 off and on in 1/2 hour. |
Wed Oct 24 12:04:06 2007, Doug Preddy, Maintenance, power lead and cryopump regeneration
|
Regenerating M9B:CP2 as temperature was up to almost 20k.
Shut off flow to power leads to allow them to warm up. The positive and
negative temps were beginning to creep up.
Regeneraing the adsorber. |
Thu Jul 24 16:28:50 2008, Doug Preddy, Quench Recovery, power bump
|
There was a power bump at ~15:00 today. All mseon hall cooling water went off. Compressor tripped. Main magnet went off.
Restarted compressor after water pumps came back on. Started flow to the cold box. Compressor outlet pressure went >12 Bar and tripped of the compressor. Restarted again and am now cooling in parallel cold return. Solenoid ~25K. |
Wed Oct 6 07:57:01 2004, Doug Preddy, Start Up, parallel cold return
|
Switched to parallel cold return at 4:00 yesterday afternoon.
6:30 this morning started closing cv155 as temps had bottomed out at 24K. |
Wed Apr 21 06:39:17 2004, Doug Preddy, Start Up, over night
|
Changed to parallel cold mode at 9:30.
At about 4:30 the city water chiller was turned on. The air compressor had
also tripped off. It was reset and restarted. |
Fri Jan 26 15:10:37 2007, Doug Preddy, Maintenance, new control computer installed
|
I have installed a new control computer at the M9 solenoid control panel |
Tue Apr 20 07:06:41 2004, Doug Preddy, Start Up, morning day 2
|
Temps in solenoid are equalling out. Increasing PIC229 to 11 bar. |
Sun Dec 5 11:15:24 2004, Doug Preddy, Normal Running, more ripples
|
I loked at the power lead temps this morning. LHe_in 10.4-12.0 PL-Neg 8.0-
9.0 PL-Pos 9.8-10.4. Flows down to 160mm. Called Ops and got Danica to
cycle CV142. Ripples and flow improved on the second try. |
Wed Aug 9 06:59:43 2006, Willy Andersson, Quench Recovery, more // cold return stuff
|
About 21:00 last night the solenoid temps had not changed much, pretty well
flat lined. I guess my reducing CV155 stalled the cooling. Called Don
Arseneau and asked him to increase CV155 to about 80% open. Temps slowly
began to fall. Asked Don to look at graph of temps later in the night and
if they fall down to a flat line to then reduce CV155 a bit to get the
temps trending further down.
This morning CR_C1_ENT has fallen to a slightly upward trending flat line
of about 12.7 K. Probably ready for switching to series mode by whoever
gets to the system first this morning. |
Sat Jul 22 06:34:14 2006, Experimentor, Quench Recovery, looking good
|
Donald Arseneau reporting.
It is looking pretty good, so I came back in with the intent of energizing
the magnet. Doug should be up now or soon, so I'll wait a little for you
to see this. If you do, call the m9 counting room 222-7379. After waiting
a while, I will just forge ahead. |

There was a fluctuation of the positive lead temp with no flow going to
the power leads. |
