When turned ON it was not going higher than 3.6A (EPICS/front panel). Kazuya checked the connections at the back and also the EPICS/PLC/PS input/output signals. He compared these values with the similar once of the TSH:TBHT PS (which is also a Xantrex PS 10-600). E-Fault 6275
It turned out to be the connections on the top of the ion source box: the target heater was not connected and the power supply was not seeing the load. Tomorrow we'll check all the top connections, with the corresponding power supplies. |

Replaced grid containing ring (target side) with new ring. No contact between target and anode measured in lab.
NOTE: While closing up the VCR fittings the tube rotated causing the tube to flatten in a bend. This may reduce water flow on the heat shield circuit. (see attachment)

Determined on Friday April 16th that the water leak was on the coil negative circuit. This was determined by circulating water through once circuit at the time. Only HF and GE tested (not Extraction Electrode). |

Water leak has been repaired, but P/S could not be turned on. Ground interlock still latched. The base of the cabinet was filled with water - most of the water could be scooped out with a bucket.
