The Hall probe is not working: couldn't pass 35.5 units (readback) or 50.16 units (setpoint) at field -3710G.
Tried to turn ON/OFF magnet PS and to reboot Canbus, but nothing worked. Still waiting for E-Fault 6031 to be resolved.
Started cool-down.

John Wong | SiC#27 | HP-SIS | ITE | TM4 | 38817-3 | | Problems/Solutions | Solid residues found on EE | Thursday, May 17, 2012, 13:15
After the test-stand, the EE was removed for inspection. It was discovered that there were some solid residues coated on the extraction electrode and the common plate, but the ionizer tube was clean (see attachment#1). Some samples were collected and will try to do some analysis. This problem has been seen before but it's still not clear why the solid residues form after the test-stand.
The EE & the common plate were cleaned with acetone and re-assembled back to the target.

The chip came from the lower insulator stand-off on the target assembly (see attachment). After investigating the chipped insulator, it was decided (Pierre, Friedhelm, Anders) not to replace it - as the risk involved may be less than the risk involved in replacing. |

Friedhelm Ames | | | | | | | Problems/Solutions | Hall probe reading wrong | During the mass scan today it was discovered, that the mass calibration was off. Further investigation showed, that the Hall probe readings are a factor of 1.31 lower than during previous measurements. A fault report has been issued to controls. |
