Entry  Thursday, August 16, 2012, 16:54, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, Short between gas line and heat shield

There was a short between the gas line and the heat shield - as the gas line insulator was not tied to the heat shield. A Ta-wire was used to tie the gas line and keep it from touching the heat shield.

Entry  Thursday, August 16, 2012, 16:56, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, Target heater PS disconnected from controls.

As per Ray Dube for the FEBIAD anode bias test. The PS will need to be reconnected before a target is run.

Thursday, August 23, 2012, 10:40: Replacing TMSRP2 with Edi. E-fault 6261.

Thursday, August 23, 2012, 10:49: TMSRP2 replaced and started.

Entry  Thursday, August 23, 2012, 11:59, Anders Mjos, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, Roughing blows the fuse for both roughing pumps.

The fuse for both roughing pumps blows when roughing the chamber. With the help from Edi: disconnect the exhaust port on the roughing pump for the first few hundred torrs of roughing. Reconnect and continue.

Seems the roughing pump RP1  pushes air towards the exhaust of RP2 which blows the fuse

Edi will replace TMSRP2 again as it became noisy since yesterday morning. Vacuum should not be affected by the work.

Entry  Wednesday, December 19, 2012, 16:22, Sebastian Raeder, , , , , , , Problems/Solutions, status after power outage

Wednesday, December 19, 2012, 16:24:

After long power outage, everything is off except the roughing pumps. Two turbo pumps (TMSTP2 and TSGTP1B) have shown fault due to timeout, only TSGTP1B could be reset, while TMSTP2 is still showing this fault

Vacuum in Magnet section is 0.004T according to TMSCG2. Since the target chamber was vented to remove the RFQ tests target, this section is actually pumped down using the roughing pumps (water lines are blanked off)

archivers started

I was now able to reset TMSTP2.

closed the roughing pumps to the target chamber, vacuum at 0.027T
