TM1 with Ta #37 target was moved from ITW to the south hot cell. The rotation of TM1 may have been off slightly during the final removal from ITW but it was minimal. Entry into the south hot cell went with out incident. This was my first time moving the module without the presence of Travis Cave.

Entry  Thursday, July 09, 2015, 14:02, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Development, TM1, , TM1 is pumping down at CS

TM1 and CS  vacuum system are connected. All turbo-pumps are started. The new TP1S works fine also. The pumping down looks good so far. During the TM1 and CS roughing down time, Joe .M noticed a Rn-220 level surge up in TH . Then, the Rn220  level slowly dropped back. Anders suspected this Rn-220 surging is related to the TM1 roughing down at CS. We decided we will stop the pumps , vent the CS , and roughing  again tomorrow. During the same time Joe will monitor  Rn-220 level in TH to see if the surging is repeatable. We want to learn more on this TH Rn-220 issue.

Entry  Monday, September 08, 2014, 13:44, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, ZrC#6, TM1 is disconnected at CS.

Stopped TM1 and CS turbo pumps. Disconnected TM1 at CS. The CS and TM1 are under vacuum and naturally leak up. I will vent it on Wednesday morning.

Entry  Tuesday, July 31, 2012, 12:50, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, UC x, TM1 heat shield circuit leak check with UC x target

Chad and i did a leak check on TM1heat shield with UCx target on.The circuit are pumped  down to the bottom leak rate and base pressure is 3xE-3 torr on the leak detector. There are two VCR caps on heat shield circuit. Chad sprayed helium on both of them   ( tested individually,2 seconds every time ) . The test repeated 1 time. There is no response on leak detector during 45 seconds waiting time on both time.Chad flushed helium around the target for 15 second. During 1 minutes waiting time , there is no response on leak detector. The heat shield circuit is leak tight at this stage. It will be helium pressure  in CS later.

Entry  Wednesday, November 07, 2012, 11:09, David Wang, South Hot-Cell, Standard Operation, TM1, TiC , TM1 heat shield circuit leak check with TiC target at hot cell

Chad and i did a leak check on TM1(Lp-TiC) heat shield water circuit at south hot cell. There is no leak had been found on it. The circuit  is leak tight at present. I will do  helium pressure check on this circuit at  conditioning station once the vacuum is good enough.

Entry  Tuesday, April 24, 2012, 10:38, David Wang, Conditioning Station, Standard Operation, TM1, LP SIS Nb6, TM1 heat shield circuit leak check with Nb5

The pumping down on TM1 and conditioning station is fine over the weed end. The PNG 1(containment box) is 2.4xe-6 Torr, the IG1 (top service cap) is 9.0 xE-7 Torr, and the IG4 is 1.9xE-6Torr (diagnostic box). At this pressure, I connected the leak detector to the system and applied 80psi helium to the heat shield circuit. The leak rate and base pressure on leak detector are 0.0xE-9 Atm.cc/sec and 0.0xE-4Torr. There is no any response on leak detector during 4mins helium applying time. So the heat shield and Nb5 target water circuit is completely leak tight.

Entry  Wednesday, June 06, 2012, 08:21, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, , TM1 disconnected in ITW

I disconnected TM1 in ITW yesterday morning. The general radioactive level in ITW over the TM top (300mm) is about 350 usv/hr. contacting level on TP1 and TP2 are 1.0-1.2 msv/hr. I took 0.22 msv dose .The module is moved to

south hot cell later and a shielding plug is put back to ITW. Everything is fine.

Entry  Wednesday, September 12, 2012, 11:59, David Wang, ITW, Standard Operation, TM1, UCx, TM1 disconnected in ITW

I removed 5 shielding blocks from ITW to block storage area, and disconnected TM1 in ITW. After UCx run,  the radioactive level around the turbo pumps and primary vacuum lines are pretty high. This affect the general field inside the ITW pit around working area.i took 15 minuts to finish the job and i got 0.1msvr dose. the general field around my working area is about 350 usv/h.
