|
On April 2, 2024 the wrist on the SE manipulator of the SHC (Serial # 7986) was swapped with a rebuild unit originally from SW position (serial # 8106).
The "new" wrist was a wrist + tong assembled unit with the tong cable being routed if-front of the spacer A-14118 rather then behind as in all
previous replacements (see attached pictures). This change was a result of a discussion with Central Research's senior repair technician who informed us |

|
On Wednesday, May 22, 2024 UCx#45 was installed on TM4 in the SHC. Installation was normal other then minor issue with the multipin connector drive screw
not engaging and/or driving properly. This was remedied by loosening the left guide bolt slightly (1/2 turn). After loosening the multipin drove in and
seated correctly (verified by camera). High current fasteners torqued to 130 in lbs. |

On Friday, September 6, 2024 Model 'N' remote arm #9352 was removed from the NHC right side installed position to investigate an ongoing issue
with the tong motion circuit (no motion on the remote side when handle on operator side operated).
Inspection revealed that the tong cable on this arm have hopped its cable drum and rapped around the shaft of the cable drum. As well, the tong |

Model N remote arm serial #9342 tong cable has been un-jammed from between pulley 3D (see picture) and casting (this is an ongoing issue with #9342 and
9352) and cable restrung and exercised to check motion. Tong system is now functional but exhibits excessive slack. Next step will be to check tension
of the elevation/twist cables and adjust the pulley block if required (this pulley block houses both the elevation twist cable pulleys and the tong cable |

Ceramic conductor blocks ITD0053 and ITD0054 were replaced on TM2. Initially, only ITD0053 was to be replaced but after removing it it was noticed that
ITD0054 (the larger conductor block behind it) was also broken, fractured through the helicoil that retained ITD0053 (see attached picture).
Both the old 53 and 54 fell into multiple pieces upon removal (see attached photo). |

|
On March 27 remote end 9342 was installed on the west position (right hand as viewed by operator) and arm 9764 removed and moved to anteroom.
Previous to this installation, arm 9342 received tensioning of the elevation twist pulley block and tightening of the tong cable opening via the
tong cable drum. Tong opening was reduced to roughly 2" to achieve tension in the tong cable such that slack upon release of the system was reduced |

|
Tong cable on remote arm 9**4 has be relocated onto its pulleys and tong opening adjusted at the tong cable drum by changing the position of the tong
cable screws by two positions (tightened/closed) such that the air tool will fit in the tong and some of the slack in the tong system has been taking up.
An attempt was made to also adjust the elevation twist pulley block which would also aid in taking up slack in the tong system however, the elevation |

|
Remote end 9352 replaced with end 9764 due to signs of an issue with the tong cable (tong opening excessively large and slack in cable on one side).
Upon replacement tong opening on 9764 also opened larger then the remote end was set to. Everything is operational but this phenomenon indicates the handle
cable system on operator side must be where the excess is coming for. This is further indicted but the position of the locking screw on the handle cable |

The spent target vault door does not open or close. The emergency door closing did have to be used to close the door as it was locked in an open position,
the door stopped just off the open override limit. The door was closed and the spent target that was being assayed was placed into the mini storage. The
problem with the door appears to be related to the motor itself, as all the controls to the motor appear to be in working order. Also it was noticed on |
