Yesterday Edi and Derek from Vacuum group installed TP.  They recommended two things:

1) Clean the BV1 as it has some oil from previous roughing pump. 

2) Consider using inert gas in TP purge line.  This helps protect the bearings from particulates being exhausted through the pump.

The old TP showed many signs of particulates and condensed material on the blades and inside surfaces.
