Subject: 22Ne2+ at 22.44keV for SEBT1

Back to pilot beam status as of around 18:00 last night. A couple of sideshows through the evening. ICR made an elog entry about the IOS:MB field stability program here. But the information shown is inconclusive. As noted in a work permit, Magstab is in fact using our own Hall probe for reference. Unlike the EPICS Hall probe, ours is temperature-compensated. So two outcomes are certain:

1. The EPICS field will vary substantially as ambient temperature changes throughout the day.

2. A/q will vary by a proportionate amount, because it uses the EPICS field value in its calculation.

During the day today, ISACEPICS1 went down for a while, as seen in the attached Stripchart. On that same chart, you can also see the real stability of the separated beam. It varies directly as a function of the source itself, visible in the Q3 skimmer.

Later... Stability program is following source just about perfectly. Updated Stripchart (blue = FC6, red = Q3 skimmer) attached.
